1. Frank Summers, RB/FB, UNLV, 5010 241, 4.58 –Summers is a beast of a player. Has been honored as the hardest guy to tackle in the MWC on multiple occasions. Simply won’t go down on the first hit. Is extremely careful with the ball. Hasn’t dropped a pass or fumbled in over 420 touches. Great receiver out of the backfield with the ability to turn upfield and gain extra yardage. Is powerful and runs with a low base. Has good vision and suprising escapibility. Very agile as evidenced by a 4.18 short shuttle time. Exceptional strength and forward momentum (30 reps on the bench). Top player not invited to the combine. Plays with emotion. High character athlete who makes good grades and is always striving to get better. Will be a major steal as a versatile power back at the next level.
2. Quinn Johnson, FB, LSU, 6010 246, 4.82 — Great lead blocker and short yardage specialist. Not a big receiving threat, and will most likely find a home as a blocker for a true ball carrier.
3. Tony Fiametta, FB, Syracuse, 6000 245, 4.68 — Can play some Hback as well. Good hands and a willing blocker who takes good angles and usually opens good holes. Still, when was the last time Syracuse had a ground game worth talking about.
