1. Duke Robinson, Oklahoma, 6050 329, 5.27 (2)
Strengths: Incredible size for a guard…this is a massive guy…has great strength and can drive defenders off the ball with ease…great attitude…plays with a mean streak…has great agility for a guard…plays until the whistle…has size to move outside to play guard
Weaknesses: He’s a pretty good prospect so it’s hard to find a lot of weaknesses…he could be quicker…if he moves outside he will need to improve his agility and footwork…sometimes he gets off the ball slightly slower than he should
2. Herman Johnson, LSU, 6072 364, 5.53 (2-3)
Strengths: Size…Johnson is even bigger than Duke Robinson…bigger than most tackle prospects…is an absolute mauler…can drive defenders off the ball consistently…incredibly strong…has long arms and is great in a small space
Weaknesses: Must watch his weight…although size is an advantage, he is prone to weight gain and can reach 400 pounds easily if not careful…not great at pulling…can be beaten by quick defenders who get a great jump
3. Andrew Levitre, Oregon St, 6025 305, 5.26 (3)
Strengths: Quick first move…has low center of gravity and uses it to move defenders out of the way…is a force as a run blocker…pushes defenders out of the way…is quick enough to pull and make blocks
Weaknesses: Not very big…has decent bulk but isn’t a super strong guy…bigger defenders in the NFL might be able to move him…doesn’t have long arms and can get run by in pass protection
4. Trevor Canfield, Cincinnati, 6040 307, 5.32 (3-4)
Strengths: Plays with a mean nasty streak…is always looking for someone to hit…very strong at the point of attack…can lock on to a defender and move him in the running game…very quick player…can get in front of a defender and stay there in pass protection
Weaknesses: Just an average athlete…is not completely fluid when blocking…relies heavily on technique to make plays
5. Kraig Urbik, Wisconsin, 6051 328, 5.35 (3-4)
Strengths: Is another massive guard in this class…is extremely strong…dominates at the point of attack in the running game…can maul defenders with his pure strength…once he locks on to a defender he can move them out of the way…opens clear wide lanes for running backs…big enough to move outside
Weaknesses: Is weak in pass protection because of poor technique…relies to heavily on pure strength to make blocks…needs to improve footwork…has a tendency to lunge at defenders and can be beaten by guys with good burst…was part of underachieving season at Wisconsin…not very quick
