1. Louis Delmas, W Michigan, 5113 202, 4.52 (1) — NFL Comparison: Ed Reed(BAL)
Strengths: Very aggressive…makes a lot of plays all around the field…has shown willingness to help in run support…has experience returning kicks…has great awareness and rarely lets anyone behind him…makes quick reads and reacts well
Weaknesses: Doesn’t have good size…strength is an issue…doesn’t do any one thing amazingly well…played against subpar competition in the MAC…needs to add bulk
2. Patrick Chung, Oregon, 5113 212, 4.54 (2) — NFL Comparison: Antoine Bethea(IND)
Strengths: Very active guy…no glaring weaknesses…is great in run support…loves to stick his nose in and make tackles near the line of scrimmage…has the speed to recover in coverage…makes quick reads and reacts just as quickly…has decent size and delivers a big hit…good leader…true “defensive quarterback”…played special teams as a defender and a returner
Weaknesses: Has average size…plays bigger than he is but can be overpowered by bigger players…sometimes is too willing to play the run and can get sucked in on play action
3. William Moore, Missouri, 6001 221, 4.44 (2) — NFL Comparison: Dawan Landry(BAL)
Strengths: Big time playmaker…excels against the run and the pass…good awareness in coverage…will come flying up to make the big hit in the running game…delivers a blow…good awareness…ball hawk…makes few mistakes by playing disciplined football…has trimmed down some which gives him better speed
Weaknesses: Must watch his weight…if he gets too heavy he loses a step…has trouble recovering when he misreads…must react a little quicker…was part of an awful defense this year at Missouri…injured last year
4. Rashad Johnson, Alabama, 5113 203, 4.56 (2) — NFL Comparison: Reggie Nelson(JAX)
Strengths: Very active guy…flies around the field and is a true centerfielder…used to be a walk-on and that is a testament to his work ethic…very aggressive…makes plays with the ball in the air…makes plays near the line of scrimmage and isn’t afraid to mix it up against the run
Weaknesses: Size…Johnson is not tall or thick…plays so recklessly with himself that he is an injury concern…despite working hard, he is not a freak athlete
